This was done about 4-5 years ago, built by a very good friend of mine. It was done as a project just to try and see if it worked, which it obviously did. The engine is acutally a 900 It started off with standard N/A engine, did a 15.3 1/4 mile then, so not exactly fast... But with 200bhp, about 700kg and a turbo it was a bit quicker. The sequential box is the standard one from the bike Yes it did sound fantastic, and did make a lot of people scratch their head wondering what it was, also got quite a bit of attention on the road...
Its now road legal with a Kawa 1200 engine
Cool but TBH I cant see the point in a 1.0 when a 2.0 under far less strain with loads more torque could be fitted more simply, like a LET/YB etc
Sequntial gearbox and the fact you can easily pick the engine up on your own. Bike engines weigh piss all. A hayabusa engine will also make 470 bhp on stock internals. With 350 bhp being reliably done all the time in the states on stock internals.
