Cheers all for your replies..

Ginge the only issue is im going to need the shafts made as the car is to run equal length shafts and the fiesta doesnt run this there are no drive shaft options.

Il have a think/search over the next few days and possibly take you up on that offer, cheers mate.

avoid welded shafts if you can

must admit we get cv joints made in the far east no problems for all cars,,,,, but we cant seem to find a place that makes d/shafts hence we outsource that to a britsh based company who recon the shafts only,,,,,, they cant get shafts either !!!

I know mate welded ones is not even an option i want to look at, i know they will brake with the power intended.

I have just had an interesting chat with Simon from sitech whom has had some custom shafts made to his specification. looks like that is the way to go.
use whichever cv-joints you have and shaft is made to suit from one piece of (whatever the material is used).

is there no way of retaining the 3 piece setup. if you could somehow shorten the 3rd solid bit and have the end resplined im sure it could be done. well thats an option i am going to look into as to me the 3rd piece looks to be a solid bar from what i can tell.

let us know how you get on tho as i will be looking for shafts soonish for the mtx! lol

si from sitech racing has had his made from scratch from sending them mock up ones. It can be done and not to dear either.

i have got a pair of focus shafts, to go with the 3rd piece, that i am going to look at fitting when i finally get the engine and box mounted in the car.

hopefully i can retain the std shafts if possible and then go from there , failing that if you can get them made then that would be great help to me in not so distant future!

keep us posted mate.

I didnt note the material used but suitable for upto 1000hp.F1 spec shaft.

I tried GKN and many others whom didnt seem to want to help.

John it is getting there but the next 4 weeks are crucial to get it finished.
All the vital parts are due to be made and ready in 3 weeks.

Then its of to be wired and mapped.
