Default Calipers Fouling Wheels

i had a load of work done on my car today, coilovers fitted and a few little problems fixed.

i had new brake pads fitted to the front and the extra thickness means the calipers are fouling the wheels, im pretty annoyed, is this to be expected?

i have standard brakes and soft spoke rs7's

some pics of the car here, wont really help though lol

i had soft spokes on my 2wd,fouled the calipers till i put 3mm spacers on,then i put on diamond cut rs7s and had the same problem,if you get too wide a spacer the the tyres will catch the arch!
