I put BD10's in mine. I gained 16bhp.
I also noticed at between 3500-6000 more power and it pulls harder.
One thing though bit of a flat spot under 2000 though.....not really a problem for me as I never go that low

They're normally GIVEN away by some tuners, as they're SHIT . Chris can get away with it to some extent, as he has a turbo that (believe it or not ), is smaller than IMAs cock . If I owned a T3/4 car, I wouldn't fit them if you PAID me to . Stick with the standard ones or a BD14 inlet, or K2 on both sides .

Although Mikes opinions are generally true, it is impossible for anyone to take a word he says seriously, from a man who still tucks his jumpers into his chino's like he did when he was a rocker in the 60's.
He is right about the size of IMA's cock though
Oh and Jo the prices are the same for all profiles

Jo,

IMO Standard cams are fine for up to 380 - 400 BHP.

I have tried BD10's and was VERY dissapointed - mainly due to the lack of mid range torque. This is in context of a Paul Bailey built engine to this spec:
Standard compression ratio, 200 'O' ringed block
Big valve, flowed head
Light Blue injectors
T38 (hybrid 360° bearing) rinning 26 PSI
2 WD exhaust manifold/ Maxnex system

Back to back tests at Interpro's rolling road......and YES - the BD10's were dialed in correctly on verniers/adjusted a couple of times too.
Standard cams (with offset keys): 404 BHP......396 ft /LBS torque
BD10's + verniers fitted: 392 BHP......358 ft/LBS torque

Needless to say the STANDARD cams were refitted

you might want to mention that for BD14 he has to valvepocket his pistons which isnt needed with BD10 ...
seems a big difference to me

good point, but it has been turned over and as I did this I filmed it in slow motion, then fast forwarded the tape and added sound effects. wicked.
oh and camera's never lie, even the one we stuck down the bore hole.....0.000000000001mm of clearance easy.
