has anyone fitted one of the early opening thermostats??? they open at around 75c??? did you notice any differance?

You will notice that the engine doesn't get to proper operating temperature at all at winter.

I've run an 82° Thermostat in mine for years now with no adverse effects. Certainly does help it stay cool.
