Talking Did You Know?? (Insurance)

Ive just picked up a 2wd Sierra Sapphire Cos for a daily runner. Ive changed insurance over from my Astra and had to pay £40 extra for one month. Didn't argue as I thought it would increase. Renewal came through last week and Elephant.co.uk wanted £770 for 10months insurance TPFT.

My ESCORT Cosworth is £580 with Elephant.co.uk for a 10month Policy FULLY COMP!!!

So, changed my insurance company and now paying £550 for 12months Fully Comp on the 2wd!!

There excuse was "We must have had more claims on the Sierra Cosworth, so due to this our prices increase for this car". I was personally shocked at the price differences. Should of just put the Escort back on the road as it would cost me less

The prices are all over everywhere fletch

I had a quote of over £2500 for my fiesta with alot of companies and some wouldn't even insure me!!

I got it for £715 in the end fully comp, which isn't too bad for a 22 year old with 4 years no claims and a heavily modified car (190bhp)

i've used bell and elephant and admiral over the past few years. there all the same company i think, but the only way to gett he price down is to change company, every year the quotes go up even tho i have no claims, no points and an extra years NCB. figure that out then
