yeah is an early head,i had a good 4x4 but couldnt be arsed with the compression change and cams change

Looks good mate! Thinking of getting one done as well - if you don't mind me asking what's the thickness on it (as in have you had loads of work done to a head with a few skims left, or near the last?)

see your other thread mate i answered your question on there

head thckness is 138.7,i wouldnt spend so much money on a totally skimmed head

but saying that my last was down to it and had no issues with non pocketed pistons and pair of bd14s

col if you have chosen someone for mapping i would think about using something they are familiar with as it should allow a much faster turnaround and not throw up any hardware/software funnies etc that can often happen going to new ecus. Experience/quality over competitive price as long as it has a good resale value.

you might save a few hundered on a ECU only to have to spend it on the mapping as it takes longer?

simon has done a few and is very used to the gotech systems,and reckons 2 days for mapping,just need to trailer it up

pitlochery not that far with the bm towing it lol

The maps are just all numbers col.....they make no sense to the untrained eye.

I have seen alan map my car tons of times, had Mark talk me thru a few changes of the map over the phone etc and still couldnt tell a good map from a bad one just by looking at it, they are THAT complicated.

Will be interesting to see what power Si can get out of it if he does map it

timescales :-( when it comes to tuning cars this must be one of the worst things, it always seems to take longer than you would expect....hopefully not much longer til i get mines back tho....
