Default Track Car M.o.t Rules???

This may sound like a silly question but, will my mk6 escort pass an m.o.t with a stripped interior? Im not sure wether the old bill would see it as a road legal motor, whats the rules man???????

Put it in for MOT and find out is probably the easiest way. If it comes back with a list then you atleast know what needs addressed. Stripped interior is 100% road legal if done right.

if you can prove that the vehicle is not used at night then lights are not a requirement

You fail a screen for obstructing your view on various things ie chips/cracks, stickers, crap hanging down from the rear view mirror...if the screens not there, how can anything be there on it to fail for obstructing your view?

because there is nothing in the manual to say a screen has to be fitted

i once told a guy this so he went and kicked the screen out of his motor

Thats fookin madness

I mean surely a car isn't safe to drive on the motorway for example without a windscreen, unless you're wearing goggles

lol I am a Vauxhall dealer techy

Im failing shit loads of them atm.....so much so that we're expecting a visit from a man in a white vosa smock soon It seems if its got around 70k plus, if you check the rear bushes for play with the vehicle on the deck by rocking the top of the wheel back and forth there tends to be shit loads of play in the outer top bush. Raise the car so the pin rotates in the bush to a unworn posistion and most of the free play is gone. One of the other lads failed one and it went to three other mot stations where they have been unable to find any play what so ever, hence an impending visit

I guess its been answered already, but i can personally vouch for the fact that you dont need any interior trim, before i put the cage, buckets and harnesses etc i had one seat and belt, a steering wheel and half a dash..

Only thing you have to make sure about with a stripped interior is no sharpe edges, other than that no problems.

PMSL @ kicking the screen out because it had a chip.

The DAYLIGHT MOT is quite correct and I have known cars with this, even MOT examiners have to look it up, of course get caught at night and your in trouble but is done mainly for road legal track cars.
Our little island has lots of odd laws/rules.

i know i asked this last night but i'd like some more opinions
The 205 needs an MOT before the opening round of the challenge in 2 weeks. The windscreen is clear in the drivers line of view but has a crack accross the corner below the tax disc from seal to seal?
will it pass or should i kick it out?
i was told it would fail if the wipers touched it? can i not fit shorter wiper blades?
