im in middle of putting an rs turbo engine in my xr3 for crail next week but i dont have a s1 gear box, but i do have a s2 one & was wondering if you could weld a bracket on the front of the box for the front engine mount or is that a no no?

Hi Smits, when ever you weld ali, it moves, even if you use a jig. It will pull the shafts out of alingnment, just talking a very small amount.

Dont do it.
