I want a leather interior for my rs (have leather recaro fronts) but not sure where 2 get it. did the orion ghia have leather interior? i only want the rear bench, and door cards. anybody know what seats to use?

 

People normally use Sapph rear bench material if they don't get a specialist trimmer to do the whole lot.

 

As Shawn said - the only Escort / Orion that came with leather was the all blue Cab (which was half leather) and the Orion 2000E. Best off getting the lot retrimmed mate so it all matches. Not silly money either, £600 should see the lot done.

 

Been told my leather was offered as a option when new.

Not from factory, but a few dealers offered this (Also black) leather as a option for RST buyers back then.

Got mine s/h off a mate of Dave (Twins) think for £400 nicka'

Seen a few other identical trims (mostly Black) and most agree was a dealer option fitted from new so sure it's true.

 

the all blue escort cabriolets have full grey leather interiors with blue and red striping through and the orion 1600e hads grey leather too

 

i want grey half leather in mine dont really no where to go though!!!!!

And 16E Onion Leather was just boggo' standard Mk4 Front seats, & looked like summat' outta' DFS

Deffo' prefer full leather rather than half-trim.

Phone 'round and get a few quotes, a good re-trim will go 'bout £600+

Depends on the look you are going for and which you prefer - it's your car and that's what matters.

My mates got a minter S2 that came with leather from factory/dealer,still has that new leather smell in the cabin,ill try get some pics up

I doubt it,the car aint been driven for the lst 3 years its been on 56k for since he took it off the road.Ive asked him if he wants to sell it to me lol

 

all blue cabs came with full leather 3i seats (colored lines in the conrtours)

tennis cabrios had half leather recaros


1600e seats were full leather and 3i seats same as the all blue slightly different colour


i love s2 genuine leather, no retrim seems to come close

 

1600E seats are exactly the same as all-blue ones but without the blue and red stripes. They even have the tilt forward knobs on them, despite being fitted on a four door saloon.
