Default £14k to spend

Hey Cossie forum peeps...

Hey guys. Hopefully should have around £14k to spend on Cosworth. My plan is to keep it long term and ideally use it at weekends and on good weather etc.

In your honest opinions will £14k be enough to get a good standard (engine) car? - Obviously spending a large chunck of money on the car I want to get the right one.

Also I have a question, in standard form what's the more reliable engine out for the big turbo and small turbo? - I would imagine in standard guise the big turbo will be less stressed.

Also when leaving a car for lengthy periods is there anything i should be aware of?

Muchos thanks

Matt.

£14K should get you a good standard car, nothing in it between the BT & ST in standard form on the reliability front. A lot depends on how well the car has been looked after. The BT can be better power wise because of the standard turbos size compared to the ST & gives scope for cheap power, but the ST is a better everday car I'd say.

Depends on what you call long periods. Some don't like being left for a week others can go months. Just one of those things I guess. Mine stays on the drive all year round & gets started / driven every week. Not seen a problem like some have that posted on here after being left in the garage over winter.
