yep sorry, failed to mention the information i put up is supposed to be for the 4x4 model

 

2wd according to ford brochure is 1230KG.
I had mine on mates workplace weighbridge, with full tank of fuel at 1197KG, then I got in, but can't tell you how much it went up by!!

thanks.. saw the metal plate in engine bay that say 1700kg!

 

took mates car to work for MOT and randomly noticed the brake weights chart. thats listed cosworths as 1440KG.

Mine was re-weighted when it was imported to Holland and saw 1340kg.. That's a 4x4.

 

So is it worth trying to lighten one?? What kind of weight does a carbon bonnet save? Any other good ways to lighten one up?

 

My mate is currently stripping his 2wd as its going to be used for trackdays, he needs another set of lowering springs to drop it even more now as so much weight has been taken out.

unless your going to that extent i doubt its worth it.
