Default Help! Oil pump

How do you change an oil pump??? How hard/easy is it to do?

Got a high pressure one and a clutch done at the weekend,local hgarage did it though.

Its fairly easy. I think you need to drop the engine out. I changed mine when it was already out so I don't know if it can be done with the engine in place.

Just make sure you prime it.

i was told it could be done with engine in situ. The sump has to be taken off?

it can be done with the car on ramps, downpipe off/sump off....does the crank have to come out? im not sure on that one or wether gearbox has to come off...paah i dunno lol

ksa you the daddy. It appears matey that this has been the problems with my hesitancy and underpower. Thats why tappets sound fooked even tho they just been replaced and done 4 miles on em

Mine don't make a sound now new pump and cambelt chrome rocker cover and castrol 10w/60.

downpipe off, starter off, sump off, big blue pulley off, then oil pump off, not really a hard job but annoying
