After looking for what felt like forever we finally found what we wanted.
Today I'm proud to say that we closed all our paper work on our new house!
I feel like I'm all grown up now haha. We would have loved to stay in our old area
on the Jersey City waterfront facing NYC (where some of you had visited and stayed). Sadly the lack of houses that we liked and condo's the size of two Travel lodge hotel rooms going for £250/300k+ with no front garden or backyard and we thought no way!
So here we are with a nice house with a two car garage (garage has an outlet
for an air gun/tool and a connection in the basement for the compressor! SOLD! haha). We're also the last house on the dead end road so don't have to worry about cars flying by.

I'm mostly a city person so this is way on the opposite end of what I'm used to and I love it. Anyway, Just thought I'd share the great news with you guys cause we're over the moon about it and I'm sure sometime sooner or later I'll see some of you staying over lol.

How do you cope with all the travelling to and from the UK? Surely it must play havoc with the magazine deadlines? At least we now know how you got the exclusive on ZTee's car . How does Dave feel about having to do all the work when you're in the States?

Nice one guys, I bought my first house with the girlfriend just before Christmas and its an amazing feeling compared to all the renting and whatnot i'd done before.

Although it's nothing on the scale of yours but still cost over $350k you've got to love UK House prices

The reason there are no pics of the car in driveway/garage is because we signed all the papers yesterday and is now ours (those pics are from when we first went to see it so that green minivan isn't ours). Smit, the house was totally renovated in 2007 and I'll put up pics once we repaint some rooms
It also has a huge open basement that we'll build up.. theater room, music room, laundry room, etc,etc..
As always, you guys are welcomed to visit though we don't live close to NYC anymore.
Graham, not really all that unusual, I guess it depends on where you look and I do like the brick a little more
Oh at the moment the only car you'll see in the drive way will be Taryn's ZTEE24 I sold my cossie a while ago to good mate.

Nice one. It's bound to be quieter than the city, and with lots of space for kids to run around in safety.

We drove into New York from Washington DC years ago, and there were plenty of lovely little towns/suburbs on the way in.
