When i look at my crankshaft pulley, i can see 4 pieces of metal weldet to it, i have seen it before on some engines from pf. They have used for some kind of indication but what.

could be that someone has tryed to use the standard pulley in a cosworth or similar management conversion

 

As above another conversion i.e for a sensor to read from.

The engine is now fitted with a Gotech unit.
