Default Blacktop to ZVH

whats the difference's between the silver top and black top zetecs ?

can i use a blacktop for a zvh conversion ?

main difference is pistons and rods and it's fine to turbo go on american websites and look for ford zx3 engine parts as america never had silver top just the black but under the zx3 name i think

I don't see how you can use a black top block for a ZVH because you'll never mount a CVH waterpump on a blacktop block. The blacktop engines had an external waterpump so the opening is very small (~1inch dia if I recall?)

why would you go to all the bother of having new rods, pistons etc to get more power then ditch the head and down grade so losing some of the new found power just go full zetec turbo cost you no more as you've done the hard work
