Talking does the box have to come out aswel ?

taking the engine out to get the bores done,is there enuf room to leave the box in place ?
reson for this is im no confindent in doing this abs pish system,

oh if i did need to take box out with it, how hard it to get rid of abs

enuff room if i take the water pump and tensoiner off ? what about lineing th input shaft back up ?

Lining up input shaft is fiddly, needs two people really.

just looked like the flywheel and clutch wldnt cum out looks really tight,
the joys of ford ownership haha

In my opinion it would be very hard to line up the engine to the gearbox with the gearbox left in the bay.Its tricky enough to line up the gearbox with the engine in the bay,and the gearbox is alot easier to lift/wiggle about than the engine.I'd advise removing the engine and gearbox mate.Regards,Micky

dont remove the lot - thats madness.

I've done loads, and always leave the box in. Take the head off first if it's coming apart - and leave if off when going in if possible. When you lower the engine back in on the crane, you just need to wiggle it about until the shaft pops in. Make sure it's clean and greased. Gearbox means dicking around with suspension, driveshafts, minging hypoid etc..
