Default Cosworth YB problem. Blue smoke from exhaust.

So I got some problems with my car. After headgasket and all gasket replacing, new turbo fitting i noticed blue smoke after few days.

The car run on idle, no smoke. Just push accelerator after 15 seconds at idle, I see a ball of blue smoke from the exhaust, just the smoke dissapear, you can accelerate, no smoke, but leave it at idle for some seconds, smoke again. Any ideas? Turbocharger is 99% ok. Engine before the gaskets change was in perfect condition.

Sounds exactly the same as my last one when the valve guides were shot to bits... no smoke on load or overrun but when it came to a standstill at idle you got a puff of blue smoke. Or when you turned it off after a good run and started it back up while still warm you got a blue puff then as well!!!

Check your turbo pipes after the tubo to see if there is any sign of oil in the pipes. similar fault with peugeot expert vans at work turbo seals fail.

sounds like turbo seals to me as well. is your turbo new or recon? recon can be more trouble than they are worth and i had similar blue smoke with 2 different allegedly recon turbos until i bought a new turbo outright instead.smoke stopped.

accelerate hard, coast in gear for a bit then put the foot down to accelerate again and do you get a cloud of blue smoke?

What you thinking with this if he does? A mate having similar trouble, but his engine is only about 2000 miles old...
