Default what oil?

just away to service my 1990 2wd cosworth,its showing 32k on the clock,dont know if its right or not but the car reflects the miles.i dont know whast oil to use,i wont be using it for track days,possibly the odd quarter mile but more normal road use.what oil should i be using?cheers,lee

If you need to buy from Halfords, the only oil worth buying there is Mobil 1 Motorsport (the 15w50 one).

The oil most recommended is a Silkolene one, I'm sure someone will post which one it is, I've forgotten.

that took a while to fully read,its narrowed down the choice to mobil 1 and silkolene.

If you have a Cosco card, I'm told that Mobil 1 is dirt cheap in there, like Ł25 or something.

nah,dont have a card,just bought some mobil 1 off ebay,Ł42.99 + postage,i need it for tuesday so i just bought it,couldnt find any silkolene!cheers,im sorted now.
