Default machining cossie cam covers

just a quick question

ive seen some cam covers on cossie that have had the writing machined off so its smooth

id like to get ine done like this bt is there enough meat on the cover for it to be machined off, or am i beter off having it alloy welded over the writing and then machining it

also if its just been machined, doe your cambelt cover still fit as it would of had a lot taken off

any advice please

thanks

There is plenty of meat there to do it, as it only takes it to the same thickness as the rest of the unraised cover anyway.
Ideally you would need to get/have made support posts that are longer by the amount you shave off, so still same height in relation to belt cover.
