yeah i got a mondeo from the auctions a while ago with no history went to ford and got a service book from the parts desk and then over to the service dept for them to stamp the book (full history in about 10 mins ) total cost was about Ł2.50 for the book
if its a cat D then it may be worth speaking to the previous owner as they might have the service book, i've got my full books for my type R that ended up as a cat D
