this is how it was when i 1st got it and its nealy how i wanted it to be.
just a couple of things to before the 1st show, change the boot sticker which i already have, new springs (-20mm) and new windscreen.
Oh and get a new bonnet cable as mine broke today, any body know how to open the bonnet without the lever working ??????

best way is too have a look at another escort as you need to reach in from underneath past the turbo/rad fan and push the lever towards the driver side. when you have put the new cable in , cable tie the plastic knob in place as it tends to unhook

1.8zvh, stage 3 tt turbo,newman cam and solid lifters,ap clucth, proalloy front mount inter cooler, airtec rad, quife lsd and box,avo adjustable suspension and more, just dont know it all of the top of my head.

Get under it and use a big screwdriver, pull the lever back and it will pop up

what a stupid thing to go wrong. joys of an old motor lol

 

mines snapped plenty of times at least the manifold will be cold in the morning , ive lost some skin before doing that

well ive tried everything to get the bonnet open, its not opening at all, ive managed to push the catch and just wont open. anyone get any other idea's. If not im gonna cut it open .

Push the catch the cable normally operates and have someone else pushing or pulling on the bonnet.

Have to get it to open without doing damage!
