as you might know i have a daily runner xr3 & a s1 st170 turbo track car in the making but its taking forever, theres loads of wee bits missing, & the birds pregnant so time is an issue, but instead of giving up & selling it all off & then wishing i carried on later im just going to bang everything onto the xr3 & i was thinking about a datapost replica? with riveted on arches like gus's, tom scarlets & cliff's1, coilovers,big brakes, caged up bucket seats & an st170 turbo engine,6 speed box etc

Would be a hard job to do properly, are you going to use a 1600cvh or the ST170 turbo? I just don't think that would 'suit' the car.

Those wheels are like rocking horse shit, I do know someone with a set but doubt he will sell.

Also, riveted arches look shite and are no original to the car

Hmmm I know it's a more modern engine and obviously more easily achievable for the power, but i'd be tempted to flog off all the ST170 gear and use a genuine 1600cvh turbo as it should be

It's a big project, if i were doing it i would go the whole hog and move the petrol cap etc but i would throw mega money at it as you won't do it on a couple of thousand quid.

 

i know some one who has a set of these wheels
