pls can anyone give me some idea what might be wrong before i put car in garage and cost me loads...
1,when first start from cold,engine always cuts out,rev engine for few seconds and will still cut out,is ok once driven for about five mins
2,when driving normally,get to about 3000rpm any gear the engine makes splutter noises and sounds like it wants to cut out,
3,when on left lock get clunking sound from left wheel think this is cv joint but not sure
any help would be appreciated thanks marc

 

1 could be the cold start valve unplug it and see what thats like from cold (in the morning first start of the day)

2 it might be staving it's self of petrol try changing the fuel filter it might not be that but it worth a try. or (metering unit) or other part of the fuel system
