hello new to passsion ford.im not sure on what engine size to get the 1.6 or 2.0 sapphire as in a year i will want to have the engine the spec of a cosworth what would be easier.by getting the 2.0 would i still have to change the wiring loom or would all wiring still be ok and just be a case of getting a turbo intercooler and few other bits.or would i have to do the same work as if i got the 1.6 still?
thanks lloyd

Do you mean you want to put a 2.0 ltr engine in a 1.6 sierra. Is it gonna be a 2.0ltr pinto or a 2.0ltr dohc 8v engine.

If you're thinking of buying a non-Cossie sapphire, then later uprating the engine to a Cossie one, personally I wouldn't bother - a waste of money, unless you were planning on not telling your insurance company that your car now had a Cossie engine, ie. doing it for insurance reasons.

If you upgrade a normal sapphire to Cossie running gear, it'll never sell for what it's really "worth". As well as taking a lot of work and hassle to do it in the first place.

I agree, a lot of work and would cost more than a cossie in the first place, it would also in my experience cost a lot more to insure than a bona fida cossie, odd but that is how insurers work!!
