What psi can a standard small turbo be raised to running a superchip? also what can the standard actuator run to?

 

is it a stage 1 chip or more

 

Stage 1

 

Stage 1 chip max about 280bhp, that's what mine was running. If you want much more you're into a big turbo conversion and big money, but I think the stage 1 is perfectly adequate and won't cost you anything more on your insurance if you're with Dominion.

 

the stage will be fine you shouldn,t need to change too much but if u want to go for any more than that get some cash together and get a big turbo conversion to be on the safe side.

i know - but roughly what are you talking about 16/17psi standard?

 

maybe about 18 psi are you using the car everyday? and make sure it gets set up properly you don,t want any problems

 

ill probably set it to around 17psi to be on the safe side,then ill take it up to the RS specialist over here to get him to set it up.

Mine with superchips is running about 1.5 to 1.6 bar from new with no major engine problems (apart form failed headgasket).

18 psi on a t28 surely not?

 

T25 turbo is it not?

 

mine runs at 18 psi with no problems
stage 1, superchips capsule
did have to turn the boost down when the decat magnex was fitted,it went up to 21psi as soon as it was fitted!! just showed how harder the turbo was having to work to overcome the restriction in the cats/standard exhaust.
