Default anodising aeroquip

im getting all my aeroquip from goodridge in black

but


there is 4 fittings i can only get in blue (throu bulkhead)


can i get them anodised over the top in black? or will the blue show throu?

best thing to do is, to get your items zinc and clear passivated then re anodized the colour you require

I was talking to Dean from radtec today about this gus.

Give him a call as he will give you the name of several companies that do it.

To a very high standard I hear as well, meaning less chance of scratching the finish in the future.

Said they could could change the color easily I think they said it was etched back and then re-anodised, the longer the etching time the less of a shine though ...

Other option is to strip it in caustic soda and spray it black - works well

had to order the roll over valves and a couple of fittings for the fuel pump

Caustic soda (from any supermarket/hardware store) can be used to strip anodise, however you might aswell let the person who will be reanodising it black strip it off for you.

If your getting black, ask for it to be hard anodised

ie certain metals ?


also could say a cossie rocker cover and inlet be done ?

aluminiums and titaniums, hard to know how a rocker cover would turn out, depending on what exactly is in the alloy as some turn funny
