Maybe nobody can read it?

Sorry mate, why dont you use a spell checker?

In answer to your question it will be the idle control valve.
I recently had idle problems, but i took it to my local mechanic and he sprayed something into it and that was it, seems to be fine now, and i was only there 5mins and he didnt charge me

He took off the air filter tubing, the bit that goes from the air filter to the engine and it was underneath this

I watched the mechanic, all he did was remove the tubing which took no more than 30 seconds, then he was spraying something down there.

whatever he did worked anyway

you can get the ISCV off the plasitc inlet without taking anything else off. go from underneath with an 8mm ratchet spanner.

if that doesnt help, try coolant temp sender, only a tenner or so from ford.

There shouldn't be a carb on a GTi.

The ISCV is located under the inlet manifold. You can reach up from underneath fine, it's just time consuming and fiddly. Make sure you get a new seal for reassembly.

The temp sender for the ECU is on top of the thermostat housing. The sensor on the bottom is for the dash.

ISCV stands for Idle Speed Control Valve.

could this sencer be broke and its telling my e c u my engine still cold so its putting more fuel threw causing it to idel all the time cos it is useing more petrole ?

Sounds more like the ISCV, or an air leak. Then again your MAF or Lambda sensor could be fucked.

Not for sure, no. The zetec engines have a lot of known problems which can affect idle, so it's basically replace everything yourself or pay someone that knows what they're doing.

Have a look HERE, I found it usefull when I had my Escort.
