CV boot on a cossie -what grease?
Need to re pack the cv boot with grease. I cant get a new cv boot & oil till tuesday
what grease is the best to put in?
also, when it split, oil pissed out
would this be a seal gone and diff oil pouring out?

Doesn't sound right to me, but then I have a bean tin. I would have said that a seal has gone somewhere.

I seem to remember when Tonys CV split that the grease was like oil.

It was like proper thick greese. Not runny like oil.

oh me corrected then.
It made enough smoke like burning oil when it went, but then you wasnt hanging about if i remember

just use normal cv grease that will be fine for it

The CV joint is self contained and will only hold CV grease. The only way in for anything it through the boot so it's totally unrelated to the diff. What the oil is, is just basically CV grease which has thinned out.

If you buy a FORD CV boot, it will come with the correct grease to use
