Default spark problem on my saff!

hello people got bit of a strange problem on my saff ive not long put the head back on after a valve problem and whilst i was there i put 55lb injectors and a msd chip new cap and rotor ect.....

the problem ive got is that i'm getting a continuous spark to number 1 but 2,3 and 4 only spark the once when keying over

each plug sparks once when the ignition is switched on and off also, is that normal?

cheers, dean

same probs i had on mine i had plugged the knock sensor and Crank Position sensor in the wrong way round

try that it fixed mine also is your fuel pump priming when ignition is switched on?

and if so it should switch off after about 5-6 secs, if the CPS & knock are plugged in wrong way round it stays on constantly

well it could be an issue in the chip the checksum may not have been written correctly can you take you ecu with your new chip and try it in some1 elses car if not send the ecu back upto STU@msd and get him to test it

i did think that today mate, but i put my old chip back in the ecu and tried it but it was exactly the same unless if the msd chip was faulty could it of damaged the ecu?
but what i don't understand is that plug no1 is getting a constant spark as it should do and 2,3,4 arn't they only spark once when keying over and when turning ignition on and off

i thought that the ecu would have no control over when a cylinder gets it's spark and so on as thats the cap and rotors job
