Just though i would let you all know about my little mk2 "valarie"!!
i bought her off ebay for 200quid lol hadent been on the road since 1999 lol, the running gear was origionaly a 1.3 gl 4 door which was rotten so a donor shell was bought to reshell the 1.3 the 4door ghia ( comes with ninyl roof (love it) nice seats wood dash etc. everything was in bits seats engine lights etc lol. I had her up and running within a week (was in november lol)
seats in everything as it should be touch wood and drove her to work for the mot ! had her up on the ramp and she needed some welding here and there the worst bit was the drivers floor pan and the inner wing/ flitch. Have since done all the welding bar the wing but should be done tommorow, freed off the stuck on front brakes, tightened up the prop , put 3 new brake pipes on her and got all the lights washers wipers etc working and in good order!! have also bought some black metal number plates, a 2.0 pinto engine (205 block ) getting some quater bumpers this week, and had the steel rims acid dipped and painted in ford flint (i think) black and laquered etc have also cut welded and brazed my sump to fit over the crossmember (who needs rs sumps lol! )here some pics off ebay

have also lowered in 2" on the back just got to get the fronts done, forgot to say im having it resprayed soon on ford vista orange with some 14" super mini light alloys!!

yup done it all me own jobbie!! am geting loads better now practise makes perfect hehe, gota weld me bros mk4 up now lol gna try my welder satdy!

saving up my money now for abit, got a few more things to buy realy and quite abit of work but should hopefully be done in a few months

cheers all well - After getting the mot sorted and it sitting on my drive ive decieded to insure it, it is 623quid 3rd party fire n theft, so am guna do all the little prep bits and spray it in grey primer until i can afford to get it resprayed as the paint work is what you can call patchy but not that rusty on the top lol get my quarter bumpers sorted and spray my spare rear bumper in satin black, get all the interior in correctly and put my black and silver metal nuymber plates on (square on the front) i cant wait (i wont sleep 2night now!! )

 

just a little update have now fitted some new 185/60/13 tyres and preped her ready for respray, will be resprayed in the morning by myself lol my first respray so will see what heppens lol will get some pics up!!
