what are these like to live with/drive?

The old man had a granada estate diesel on an M plate as a company car years ago which I think had that engine. It was shite. Unless this car is less than 50p don't bother.

If so barely any better mpg than a 2.0 litre petrol, and slower.
LSD? Must be on it if you think it could have one

As said quite thirsty for a diesel, one I used for a while got 30 MPG. Went well when on boost and nice comfy drive but not economical unless your gonna run it on a diffrent oil, If you understand?

Don't avoid it, just get the 24v version and get the power for the fuel economy.
