Default Wireless router question.....

got a laptop on wireless router at mo and need to add another but need wep password and cant remember it, anyone know how i can find it?

go to....

http://192.168.1.1

or

http://192.168.0.1

Username admin password admin (if you havent changed)

Then you will see all the settings of your router, Wep key should be there...


BTW you need to do this on the compter connected to the router....

Also it might have the key written on the router!

Do the above.

If you are using a home hub, then look on the base as its printed there.

ahhhhhhhhhh there isnt anything hard wired to router, i need to link 1 laptop up then?

Yes... Or you should be able to reset router and it will set it to the factory default... That should be in the manual...
