I commute between Lincoln and Peterborough and the roads are just a complete and utter nightmare. What is it with all these frigging roadworks, it's not as if there's just one bad set, they are everywhere and all at the same time and going on for months!
It's really grinding me down and costing me a bloody fortune sat in the traffic for getting on for 2 hours a day each way just to do a 60 mile journey! And Mondays seem even worse (thank god I work from home most Mondays).
Anyone else noticed this ridiculous phenemenon? Why can't they do one big set of roadworks at once. Oh no, lets do 5 sets and piss everyone off as much as possible.
As you can probably tell I'm a little tense tonight.
And relax......

Trev I too would try the Sleaford route mate the road to bourne is mint and quite quick, and I understand from Bourne to Peterboghorror is quite a quick road.
Or at the very least you could cut a big section out by Going down Via Ancaster and then taking the back road to Grantham that goes past Barkstone Heath, and then at the roundabout near the Army camp you follow the road to the A1. I used to be able to make Lincoln to Grantham in about 30 mins going that way.
