I have a 4wd tunnel in the garage I'll chop a bit off of that and weld it in place...thanks chip...
Any of the bits of use to me? or are all of the 1600L bits scrap?
Cheers

Im not sure on the 3door hubs, if they are the same between cossie and 3door models, if they are, keep though too.
keep the rack too, its got more lock IIRC
Im not positive though, so you need to check.

the front hubsa re nothing like cosworth items, and the gearbox will fit, i fitted one to my old one no worries despite being told it wouldnt fit, as for the rest - bin it !!
the rack has no power steering, if your gonna run chassis engine mounts then keep the front x member, and you may be able to mod the gearbox xmember as the mounts on the shell are differant.

Looks mint
T5 fits the 1.6 shell no problem, it takes a bit of trial and error with the cross member but there is plenty of space.
The 1.6 non power rack bolts straight to 3 door cosworth strut/hub assembly but wide wheels can rub a bit on the inner arch on full lock.
3 door Cosworth front anti roll bar bolts straight on.
3 door Cosworth rear axel bolts straight on.

I'll get on there and sign up...if people can make use of the bits then i'm happy....esp if I can make $$ on it all
Probably going to weld in the bits off of my spare 4x4 tunnel and notch out the chassis legs. that way I can use std gb mount and have the whole car swappable from 2wd to 4wd by changing over a few bits and bobs...i've got the bits just fancy the choice and whilst its stripped an being seam welded its no big deal to make it 4x4 compatible.
Cheers Guys, thanks all for the info...I'll get cracking at weekend hopefuly

sounds like a sensible plan mate, while its ther go for it, it is an amazing starting base anyway, whack it in resto section mate

dont forget , you dont need to used the 4wd chassis arms , you can just cut the section out of the original arms and when you fit the 4wd tunnel all you need is a standard sierra gearbox mount for the T5 box if you decide to keep it 2wd
get a 2wd beam with driveshafts diff ect you can still use all of this even if you convert it to 4wd
there will only be 0.02 differance between the 4wd ratio , so it will not effect the center Viscous coupling in anyway (you wont burn it out
