Dropped into o2 earlier to buy an i phone..

Went to pay for the thing, handed over the cash "sorry sir, can't take cash, apple won't let us take cash"

WTF

I just left the shop as I thought it was a bit strange (read being pig headed and on 'principle')

Just googled it and they only accept credit or debit cards so Apple can keep track of who buys it.

You'd of thought it was illegal or something?!

I did think it was a bit weird, and in all honesty could have just bought it on my debit card and put the cash in to my bank to cover it. But I didn't because I'm too stubborn

Probably go back another day and get it when I've chilled about it

I've not met a single person who after having the Iphone for more than one month who actually likes it!

At first they LOVE it.... and then its ok.... and then it soon decends into a 'piece of shit' comment!

 

An Ipod Touch isn't an Iphone, it's just a fancy mp3 player.

It's still bollocks you can't use cash though, I thought as long as it was legal tender they couldn't refuse

 

so wot if u bought it as a gift they refuse the sale cos your not the direct owner

 

To be honest, I've resisted it for a while because I thought it'd be hyped up etc. But after a mate running me through his the other day I think it's really slick, seems so smooth and runs great. Plus I like the idea of the ipod side of it and using it at work in my stereo etc. I love the way it uses all the contact info and email settings from your pc so well. It just seems to work nicely and the screen is amazingly nice.

My P1i has eaten another ear piece for no reason so it's gotta go (as soon as it's repaired aain)
