Hi there I have a 92 xr3i cab with a 2.0L conversion still all old 130bhp water pump etc on it and my alternator has just packed in. I was trying to get the alternator out last night but got nowhere?! The belt is off but the long bolt going thru the alternator wont come out as it is hitting the body work. I need this fixed A.S.A.P as I have some1 v.interested in buying it. Can any1 help?

why dont u cut the head off a push it through the other way? thanks tony

 

might sound drastic but cant u drop the engine mount and raise the engine slightly so it will have enough room to come out??

 

cheers guys wat a mission that was! Had to drop the right hand side engine mount and radiator mount n squeeze it out also had to take the manifold off to get 2 the bolt!
