Hi it has had a big valve convertion to 45mm inlets allso a stage 3 port and polish and has cracked between all 8 valves it also has a very large hole on piston no 4 and had just sent the haed off to be checked before i put it back together.so i have hit another obsticle.

so a series 2 head should go straight on no messing ?

s1 and s2 heads are the same as far as fitment goes but you should be aware that the s1 head has softer valve seats as it was from 1986 that they made them unleaded so a very early head may need new valve seats to use unleaded.
i would get a s2 head if i was you
