right my brothers been looking to buy a mk5 rs2000 but trying to find one in the right condition and for the right price, seen a few but they'v gone etc.

we seen a xr3i for sale with the rs2000 engine in so we thought if any thing he could buy a nice mk5 xr3i and get a mk5 rs2000 engine etc.

just woundering if many of you have done it? problems encounterd?

mount places in the same place from both engines? shafts etc? wiring

as much info as possible would be great, i dont mind doing some modding of wiring etc and making things fit so not affraid

edit : well we picked up the car today, is the blue xr31 that in last months performance ford buying guide, so he's on the look for an engine soon
