i have a mtx gearbox from a mk5 escort rs2000 that was rebuilt with reciept of £211 late 2005, its only done 5000 miles since so is perfect.
comes with the 240mm flywheel and recent clutch with reciept £110 and drive shafts and gear linkage.

would this fit in a series1 and how much work would it be

 

I have heard it takes loads of work. A series 1 in fast ford recently also for sale on e bay at the mo, the guy recons it takes inner wing mods

 

not that i know of! itsgot the same gap to the side as a std mk5/6 box so presume it would be the same as the mk3/4
