Default Can't make more than 430hp

I have hit a bit of a problem. I cannot get anymore than about 430hp out of my engine. I have standard cams, wossner pistons, mildy ported head, fresh motor and a Turbonetics GTK500 turbo which is capable of 550hp. Whats holding me back. Do I need bigger cams? bigger throttle? whats the next step/s?
Thanks heaps.

BD 14 & BD 15 for yer cams, rs500 inlet and throttle body.
8 greens at least, get yer head ported more.

I dont know much about the gt turbo's (prefer to stick with T4)
What exhast manifold does it sit on..... if ya aint already got one get
a 2wd manifold

You haven't said wot compression you've got..... get some 7.2:1 cosworth pistons.

That little lot should see over 500bhp

What inlet are you running if its the standard 4x4 one , that could be your problem as that power is at its limit where the elbow becomes retrictive.

need to know more about your spec, what sort of boost are you running?

what size intercooler are you using? what injectors and fuel pump are you using? are you on a standard inlet manifold and exhaust manifold? was your car a Big turbo or small turbo car?

Standard 4x4 inlet manifold big turbo version, custom exhaust manifold, currently using 23psi, 26psi makes no power difference. Running 8 to 1 compression, pocketed pistons, standard cams and valve springs.

26psi isnt even 2 bar i think you need to be upping the boost to 2.2BAR and then seeing what power you making

2.2Bar = 32psi

if you want to run more power with only 1.5BAR of boost i sugest changing your inlet for a small turbo one or better and putting a bigger turbo on getting better cams and having the head ported to suit

i would personaly run it at, at least 2 bar and see how you get on most of the engine builders here in the UK run there engines on 2.2Bar to get there figuers

For the sound of it id say just the cams, bd-14 inlet and std exhaust, should see arround 480-500 on that.
DEPENDS on how your head is ported tho
