Would recommend 10w-50 or 15w-50.

You can always email me for a price list.

I can assure you at £20 a pop it's not a true synthetic but a "hydrocracked" oil labelled (legally) as synthetic. See my posts concerning true synthetics and labelling.

If it works it works but don't be fooled by the buzzword "synthetic".

Use mobil 1 motorsport 15/50w you cant go wrong its 100% fully synthetic it costs around 35 quid. I use it in my motor and will not use anything else. I want to look after my engine as its only done 4500miles on rebuild. Also if you speak to Burton Power they will tell you the same. If you have spent alot of time and money on your engine then use the expensive fully synthetic oils so your engine will last

Agree, it's certainly a good one 100% PAO.

No problems with that, £35 for a good oil is always worth it in the long run.

Sell loads of it

The Castrol RS 10w-60 is just a hydrocracked mineral oil and not a true synthetic. Make sure they dont charge you true synthetic prices.

Cheers

Older engines with their larger operating clearances demand the higher viscosity oils to achieve an adequate oil film thickness. Using a modern low viscosity oil in engines could be a recipe for disaster with a danger that the oil film will break down in the bearings, allowing metal to metal contact to take place with the inevitable consequences !

Myn does that to im sure its nothing to worry about. But then again i dont use my TURBS every day which is probaly the reason why and if the engine hasnt been running for a few days then the oil drains back in to the sump

Very good point, and quite true however dont be fooled by modern oils being thin, they are not, they come in all the traditional viscosities and thinner ones as well.

This is not true, you can change to whatever oil you want, as long as the oil change proceedure is followed correctly.

Pm sent fella.

If you are using the Mobil 1 15w-50, this could be contributing to the noisey start up. The 15w-50 is ultimately a track grade so the 15w does not provide great start up protection when cold. You could be better of trying a 10w-50 to get the oil to circulate quicker.

Cheers
