the voltmeter doesnt work and and the oil gauge read off the scale, any idea anyone

the boost gauge works fine, were is the volt meter feed from

I think there is a 3 amp fuse somewhere for the voltmeter, - it might be in the main fuse box - the handbook will tell you which one.

 

you've not disconnected the oil pressure switch or that recently have you?
When I fitted my new loom at first the gauge and warning light were connected the wrong way round - and the oil pressure gauge read off of the scale...

 

 

like rolls says, if you get the wires on the oil press sender the wrong way round it will read off the scale,same as if its earthing out on something

 

havnt checked the battery yet but the oil gauge worked fine till i snaped one of the terminals off, got another off martin and it does this, if the wires go on the other way round, i have no oil light and the gauge doesnt move at all
