I feel this is a public question....
S8...i notice you can fault test to see if the injectors are working, all 8 of mine are
If one injector fails say doing 7000rpm in 4th will the ecu send the engine into limp home mode quick enuff to avoid any damage?...As i am assuming a fault code will come up and cut power?

Might be fucked if you use him as your "message on a BB friend" though, because he works for a living, lol.....unlike some of us lucky ones who can sit on ehre all day

Phil, Yes normally, the S8 will CUT a whole cylinder if it detects an electrical failure
on one of the two injectors for that cylinder and give a fault code.
This test is only done if the second injector is active at the SAME time as
the first one in any one fuelling cycle.
However, YOUR particular ecu is an out of date one which you are borrowing until
you decide to buy one properly as I have said I will exchange it when you do this.
This older version does NOT have that injector check feature enabled.
So dont try it !
I should add, ALL weber/pectel modified 8 injector ecu's do NOT have
this feature at all.
