Just a quicky, does anyone know if a 1.3/1.6 crossflow will drop straight in2 my 1L POP ?

If you get the 1.6 xr2 xflow it will fit no problem i would have thought. the rwd version of the xflow has different mounting points so not sure if it will go straight in and also think its slightly longer than the fwd version

fit a cvh 1.6 , not a drop straight in job , but not that difficult either..
and easyer to geta hold off.......

 

You will need the drive shafts as well as they are different lenghts and a fuel return to the petrol tank.

Ive got a x-flow out of an xr2 its been sitting in my unit waiting for me to do sumthing with it that ive never got round to pm me if your interested mark.

 

cheers for the input guys, im still thinking about what to do with it if anything. think it wants a cvh or xr2 lump.

if i was going cvh , would i basically need the running gear of a mk3/4 escort or mk 2 fiesta i.e struts and hubs etc aswell.

I dont know if it would intrest you but i have a mk1 xr2 engine currently in a group a / stock rod .The engine was rebuilt for the car using 1300 pistons,higher compression,kent fast road cam, twin choke weber ,ashley 4 branch exhaust.The car got written off on its 4 outing and sat in the lock up ever since. I was going to sell the engine and scrap the rest just not got round to it.Also have some spares for it .£200 for the lot.I would take the engine out for you.
