anyone know much about this?

my friend bought a vaio media centre pc (with inbuilt tv tuners etc) and runs vista home premium with MCE.

now i have built myself a media centre pc, and am currently looking for a tv tuner card and to get MCE installed.

i like the way his pc scrolls from TV to DVD, to my pictures etc in media centre, will mine be the same, the reason i ask is mine will have a 3rd party TV tuner, and be running XP MCE instead.

just wondering what to expect??? dont wanna be dissapointed

only some problems with the tvguide, but that's the same shit in MCE, lol

Wasn't too much work to be honest, if you're a bit technical.

Just check first if your tuner is supported.

 

just built one last week for all of this crap, then blueray when i get a lcd tv etc

got a hauppauge 1300hvr, freeview card fitted to it, which does the job well!
