Was pulling up at a set of lights, and didnt notice the car next to me as I was chatting to my mate. As i came to a stop, My car seemed louder, so looked around to see this white GTiR sat there with the driver eyeing me up, I put he passenger window down and said

Me "Don't see many of you about, nice that mate"

him " Dont see many in grey either! "

Lights had now changed to amber, I revved to 6k, and dumped my clutch (my first ever proper launch ) Managed to beat him off the lights and now Im thinking his is same spec as mine....

Im now doing the speed limit and he goes flying past me at speeds I've never seen a car pass me before

It fucking flew


Get to a next set of lights, on this straight road and he's sat there with a smerk on his face, So I say

Me " fuck me, what boost you running mate!"

Him " Running 1.5bar these days, it can run 2bar.... , should be about 380bhp at the moment"

my face drops and say " Im only running a bar "

Him " there good at a bar still mate"



I seriously cant believe how quick it was...... I've never seen a car accelerate like that, ever

I was with my mate in his old evo 3 a while back, we come up to a set of lights next to a black Pulsar.

Bloke looks over and nearly wet himself saying "ahh mate, ive been thinking of chopping this in for an evo 3....etc...."

My mate said "Done anything to yours?"

Bloke "Not really......" then winks with a smirk


Lights go amber both cars build up revs.

Then i realise that the Pulsar is on Launch control, popping and banging!

Green! Both launch and the Pulsar ripped off like it was on Ecstacy!!!!!


We didnt see him again

it dont have to be at the traffic lights.i had a rusty shitter of an old beetle pull up next to me at the pod years back when i had my 250bhp series two,i thought to myself "no probs,i'll see that off"
like fuck did i!the thing pulled a wheelie and butt fucked me down the quarter.
then i learnt it had a tuned 911 engine slapped in it

since then ive learnt,and i try to be the one catching others out. like when i owned my"1.6gti 205"with an mi-16 in it. that shocked a hell of lot of people

i think with decent set of AP's and good shocks forget the power for now as people have said clutch and box first then you know you have everything you need to go for as much power "within reason" as you want safley

 

i HATE when folk say that! if it "can" run 2 bar then why not?

 

mine can technically run at 28 psi but is only at 16psi until i change the injectors . your right though, its like saying it "can run at 600bhp,all i have to do is put another more powerful engine in"

As dan say, No different to a cossie, Or any other performance car, I know the problem with GTiR's (selector fork and casing) and I don't abuse it to affect that problem...

I do like pulsers. mate of mine had a awesome one' Imperial blue' alcantara interior' straight cut gearbox' Thing was blisteringly quick to 100 but topped out @ 140 with the box... Fuck me thinking about it he must of had it back in 99/2000 one of the first to just under 400hp and with different injectors and remap would have got more.. Done the rounds between a few of our mates then it got sold on to some guy that put 200 shot of NOZ through it and put a rod through the engine so i hear
