how do you get the circular clip off the fuel rail - help!

Default how do you get the circular clip off the fuel rail - help!

As per title and pic below; want to put a new fuel rail on but i cant seem to take the circular silver clip off the sits on the end of the fuel pipe

how do you get them off? i've only got one so i dont want to damage it.

anyone done this?

special tool m8, you can get the tool off the net cheaply.
it's the same tool used to disconnect air con pipes, it pushes in and expands the circular coil spring, the pipe then pulls off..

You can if you're careful spring them open with a thin bit of metal wrapped around the pipe and slid up, but proper tools are as said and very cheap, often have to buy a set of 3/4 though.
