Default I just been VTECH'ed!!

I went out in my mates Integra SiR, i forgot what engine he said it has because he was spouted off all this honda talk whilst i was trying to hold on for dear life says its around 190bhp?

It went fookin well either way nice sharp brakes, had some kind of sus kit and shocks on it so it cornered well aswell, nice motor

I think there a b18c1 which is basically a 1.8 170bhp motor which are also in the civic vti estates and 5 door hatch's. As for saying it's basically a type-r engine he's talking bollox the only thing that it share's with a type-r engine is that there both 1.8's lol

good motors.

to good 190bhp out of a b18c4/1 requires some canny work. has he got cams in it?

i had a civic with a JDM ITR B18c engine in which was awesome

Looked like a nice car, JDM front as well. Much nicer than the normal ones with the nasty round headlights...

The b18c5 which is the type-r motor makes 187bhp standard and is totally different from the other b18c motor's. So to get 190bhp from 1 i'm gessing he would be needing at least cam's and head work plus the obviouse breathing mods.

The problem with the way the civic feel's when it come's on the vtec is that there better off vtec than the older b series so the jump in power doent feel as agressive. I found the civis boaring and think the dc2 integra is far better as a drivers car.

v techs certainly have no torque, don't like the constant rev the balls stuff myself, but some do like it, ace engineering though.
I towed a caravan 120 miles with a v tech, never again!!

I would rather have the car that does a low 14s 1/4 as standard, voted best ever FWD handling car ever made. Will still make standard power after 109k miles and take a pasting after pasting on track.

So do tell me whats so fucking good about an RST? Seeing as a CRX was making more power Nasp from a 1.6 than an RST did with a turbo.

RS Turbo:

Better Looks

Better Feel

Better Interior

Better Experience

Has a Turbo

Easy to work on

Anyway, i dont ant to start an argument about these wank hondas.

But if your such a closet honda lover, why you got a cossie and not a Civic Type-R?

When did i ever mention a Civic or a Cossie? I am not a 'Closet' Honda lover, it just piss's me off when people cant admit what is a very good car.

You have obviously never driven an Integra and everyone can see this from your reply. Oh and i have owned one whats why i can comment, i have also been in plenty of RST over the years.

What you lited is just an opinion of what you prefer and not whats better ie looks better etc. The fact is in 1990 honda were getting 150bhp out of a 1.6 n/a engine that could do 300k miles easy and still be reliable, they had 2 piece drive shafts as standard, leather seats and a hell of a lot more modern interior that a series2 or a fiesta turbo.

eerrrrrrrr yeah. Honda that sounds like a bee or Escort with a T34 What would you rather

Put a t34 o a 1.6 vtec and then compare the 2. Have you ever owned a honda vtec?

You'd need to do do that to compare the two, the honda may have more power but still slow as fuck. They just sound like there moving. And no, i wouldn't waste money on a V-Tec. JAP CRAP

The horse aint wearing blinkers. (Which i think your trying to get at)

Its wear eye protectiors to stop it getting a lance in the eye during jousting.

Do you genuinly believe a standard rst is quicker than a standard crx i-vt?

I would hardly saying tuning a vtec honda a waste of money especially in comparison to tuning an rst. It sounds like you obviously havent had anything to do with any tuned hondas at all cause if you did you would realise that for 10k you could have a 11's 500bhp crx.

There blinkers bell end look closely there fully covered at the sides and just mesh at the fronts. Horse's eyes are on the sides of there heads and not on the front like ours you know?
