im happy with it,burton stg2 head,cvh22cam,vernier,bilsteins all round -60mm,single wiper,10''mountney wheel,+more,RR at 128bhp,all for 210 notes,happy days,needs work but so be it this is about the 14th xr2 ive had and they break for about 700-800 in standard form,as you know stu,cheers tony

had 2 mk2 xr2's back in the day, always wanted a rst powered one

My mate had one with an RS1800 engine in, black, blacked out windows, was the daddy in the day

Lovin the FRST alloys on em

 

i love them, they would sell like hot cakes where i live as the phone never stops when your selling one,

my mate has a red one with a blacktop zetec & twin webber 45s, was featured in performance ford magazine about 6 months ago

 

i really should get mine sorted for this summer! i miss not having one!!

always on the lookout for a bargain xr2 round here, but they are always silly money and i cant justify it seeing as i wont really use it
loved my old one more than any car ive ever owned.
you either love or hate them after you owned one, good examples are hard to come by now

 

i use to love my mk2 xr2, they were such great cars to drive... I would love another one to restore.

well im happy to say i took the carpets out of the one above yesterday,and the floor is solid,needs 2 small patches,must be due to it not having a sunroof

 

my mate jus sold a minter last night for Ł300, needed 2 wings and a front panel bu the rest was solid, he sold it with the parts to repair too!

 

I'd like a xr2 with a st170 engine on tb's

Infact I might just build myself one this year

he's been tryin to sell it for ages mate, jus been lying in his garage and he needed the cash! suppose if it needs front panel an 2 wings then its a fair price really, rest of the car was mint too....infact i've got pics jus before it went i'll upload one or 2

that would have been perfect mate!
just want a standard xr2, to make mint and have it for my own enjoyment, and maybe put twin 40s on etc, and just have it has kinda a fun car.
remeber driving round the french alps in my old one, it was an awesome experience, all those roads, and the feedback my old xr gave was unbeliveable really!

i know of a 20000 mile genuine , 0 previous owner xr2 , needing a few little bits done to it but a good base even to make concourse with a resto if anybodys in to it
